20th EUROpt Workshop: Continuous Optimization Working Group is coming home |
RENATA SOTIROV Renata Sotirov is a Professor in Optimization at Tilburg University, The Netherlands. She holds an MSc in mathematics from the University of Zagreb, Croatia and a PhD from the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. Prior to joining Tilburg University, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo and McMaster University, Canada, and a research-fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia. After leaving Australia, she held a honorable appointment with the University of Melbourne. Her research interests are in continuous and discrete optimization, both in theory and algorithms, as in applications. She is particularly interested in conic optimization and convex relaxations of nonconvex optimization problems, as well as in designing algorithms for solving large scale optimization problems. Highly symmetric optimization problems are also of particular interest to her. She has published over 60 papers in prestigious journals such as Mathematical Programming, SIAM Journal on Optimization, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and Computational Optimization and Applications. She is the recipient of the INFORMS Meritorious Paper Award 2021. |
